Join a dedicated medical-surgical nursing team as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for an 8-week assignment in Clyde, North Carolina. Medical-Surgical RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing and eligibility to practice in North Carolina
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to care for adult and geriatric patients
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet the 36-hour weekly schedule
• Willingness to float to weekend assignments as needed
• Current required credentials and documentation for hospital practice
• Professional communication skills and a patient-focused approach to nursing care

Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients
• Assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Monitor and manage patients with conditions including fractures, COPD, hypertension, chest pain, congestive heart failure, and infections
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring for changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record
• Provide patient and family education to support safe care and discharge planning
• Float to appropriate weekend assignments when needed while maintaining high standards of patient care
