Medical-Surgical RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Ability to provide safe, effective patient care during 12-hour night shifts
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, patients, and families
• Commitment to professional nursing standards, patient safety, and quality care

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients throughout each shift
• Assess patient conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor changes in patient status and promptly communicate significant findings to appropriate care team members
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with clinical standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and support positive patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge needs
• Promote a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment
