Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Nursing Job – 13-Week Contract

Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890–$1,990
• Location: Bridgeton, Missouri, in the St. Louis metro area
• Setting: Inpatient medical-surgical and rehabilitation care
• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week, approximately 36 hours weekly
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract

Med/Surg Registered Nurse Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Missouri
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience; 2 years of bedside clinical experience preferred
• Recent medical-surgical, acute care, or inpatient rehabilitation nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required based on the assigned care setting
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced inpatient environment

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments within the required timeframe and develop individualized plans of care
• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and promptly communicate pertinent information to the care team
• Participate in interdisciplinary conferences and contribute to patient rehabilitation and recovery goals
• Provide patient and family education based on identified health needs and anticipated discharge plans
• Initiate discharge planning from admission and support a safe transition to the next level of care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and outcomes in the medical record
• Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision to support nursing personnel
• Promote patient, staff, and environmental safety while following infection prevention and facility policies
• Prioritize assignments, use time effectively, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve quality outcomes
• Assume charge responsibilities after completing orientation when requested
