ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Travel Nursing Contract in Langhorne, PA

Join a dedicated critical care team as an ICU Travel Registered Nurse in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. This on-site nursing opportunity is ideal for an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse who is confident caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a community hospital ICU. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070–$2,180
• Location: Langhorne, Pennsylvania

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 1, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Patient Assignment: Approximately 2–3 patients
• Charting: Epic electronic health record (EHR)
• Float Requirement: May float within the appropriate level of care based on unit needs

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Active Pennsylvania RN license or compact RN license in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Recent experience using Epic electronic health records
• Community hospital ICU experience required
• Strong critical care assessment, prioritization, and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to care for complex medical, surgical, cardiac, neurologic, and respiratory patients
• Willingness to work night shifts, every other weekend, and float when needed
• Previous travel nursing experience is not required

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Monitor ventilated patients and manage respiratory support, including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Assess and manage arterial lines, central lines, CVP monitoring, chest tubes, drains, and other critical care devices
• Titrate vasoactive, cardiac, sedative, paralytic, insulin, and other continuous infusions according to established protocols
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, dysrhythmias, respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, renal failure, and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Administer blood products, emergency medications, and prescribed therapies while maintaining strict infection prevention standards
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, rehabilitation services, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Complete accurate assessments, interventions, medication administration, and care documentation in Epic
• Support patient and family education, care coordination, and safe transitions of care
