Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
- Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit – Neuro ICU
- Location: Asheville, North Carolina
- Start Date: September 21, 2026
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks, through December 21, 2026
- Nursing Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Six weekend shifts per scheduling period
- Scheduling: Self-scheduling based on unit needs
- Uniform: Navy blue
ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
- Experience caring for critically ill patients; Neuro ICU or neurology intensive care experience is strongly preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Ability to care for post-thrombectomy, TPA, and neurosurgical patients
- Comfort working with continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), bedside external ventricular drains (EVDs), and arterial line monitoring
- Flexibility to float to other ICUs or step-down areas as needed
Neuro ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring intensive neurological and critical care monitoring
- Care for patients following thrombectomy, TPA administration, and neurosurgical procedures
- Monitor neurological status and promptly identify changes in patient condition
- Manage and monitor CRRT, bedside external ventricular drains, arterial lines, and infusion pumps
- Administer medications and treatments according to established clinical standards
- Collaborate with providers and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
- Float to other critical care or step-down units when required to support patient care needs
