Travel RN Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of current hospital Emergency Department RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Kansas
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications
- Current CPI Blue Card certification
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Emergency Department
- Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and clinical judgment skills
- Meditech experience preferred
- ENPC certification preferred
- Experience in a large hospital or high-volume clinical setting preferred
Emergency Department RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to Emergency Department patients
- Complete patient assessments, monitor changes in condition, and prioritize care according to acuity
- Initiate IVs, administer medications, and provide treatments as ordered
- Assist with procedural sedation and emergency interventions within scope of practice
- Care for pediatric and adult patients using appropriate clinical protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and support staff
- Accurately document care in the Meditech electronic medical record
- Follow medication scanning, patient safety, infection prevention, and department policies consistently
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining a positive patient experience
