Travel Nursing Job Details

• Schedule: 36 hours per week; three 12-hour night shifts
• Shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Unit Environment: 26-bed Labor & Delivery unit with team nursing, supportive leadership, self-scheduling, and experienced staff

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of current hospital Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Kansas
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Current EFM-C or AWHONN fetal monitoring certification
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered obstetric nursing care in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, teamwork, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring, antepartum, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
• Care for high-risk labor patients, including those requiring continuous fetal monitoring and specialized interventions
• Assist with Cesarean sections, inductions, and high-risk labor and delivery procedures
• Perform or support procedures including artificial rupture of membranes, intrauterine pressure catheter placement, fetal monitoring, and Doppler assessments
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and promptly communicate changes to the care team
• Administer and monitor oxytocin and other therapies according to unit guidelines
• Collaborate with providers, hospitalists, residents, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
• Contribute to a supportive team nursing environment focused on safe, high-quality patient care
