Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Wichita, Kansas
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730–$1,820
- Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Healthcare Setting: Rehabilitation-focused inpatient unit
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks, ending January 11, 2027
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:6

Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- At least 1 year of current hospital Medical-Surgical or Med/Surg nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to care for telemetry patients and successfully complete the required AirStrip telemetry competency
- Strong patient assessment, medication administration, communication, and patient-education skills
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) certification preferred
- Knowledge of quality indicator scoring in a post-acute or rehabilitation setting preferred
Medical-Surgical Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate Med/Surg nursing care to patients participating in rehabilitation programs
- Complete comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and monitor changes in patient condition
- Administer IV antibiotics, IV medications, inhaled treatments, and other therapies as ordered
- Perform laboratory draws, blood administration, glucose monitoring, and wound-vac dressing changes as needed
- Monitor telemetry patients and respond appropriately to changes in cardiac status
- Assist with patient lifts and safe mobility while promoting independence throughout recovery
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to implement individualized rehabilitation care plans
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, safety, and rehabilitation goals
- Advocate for patients while maintaining clear, timely, and accurate clinical documentation
