CVOR Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Florida
• At least 1 year of recent CVOR or cardiovascular surgical nursing experience
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures, sterile technique, and operating room protocols
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary surgical environment
• Willingness to participate in weekend and holiday rotations
• Current required clinical credentials and documentation for assignment placement

CVOR Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide safe, skilled perioperative nursing care throughout cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, supplies, and surgical instruments for scheduled cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, perfusionists, and other members of the perioperative team
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changing clinical needs during procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique, infection prevention standards, and patient safety protocols
• Document care accurately and support effective communication during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative transitions
• Adapt to departmental workflows while contributing to a respectful and team-focused care environment
