Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse experience
• Current Registered Nurse license valid in Oklahoma or eligibility to practice through a multistate license
• Completion of an approved professional nursing program
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• ICU or comparable critical-care nursing experience
• Working knowledge of disease-state management, the biopsychosocial model, and clinical pathways
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage clinical responsibilities efficiently
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing clinical and numerical data
• Epic experience is preferred
• Ability to participate in scheduled call coverage and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Interventional Radiology RN Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and individualize plans of care according to nursing and unit guidelines
• Provide safe, compassionate care that considers patients' developmental, cultural, psychosocial, and clinical needs
• Organize, prioritize, and perform nursing skills appropriate to the patient population and interventional radiology environment
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and respond appropriately to changing patient and unit conditions
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with patients, families, providers, radiology staff, and other healthcare professionals
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and progress accurately and consistently using appropriate medical terminology
• Anticipate patient and unit needs while maintaining a safe and efficient clinical care environment
• Provide patient education and support discharge planning, including appropriate referrals and follow-up resources
• Participate in quality improvement activities, educational programs, mandatory in-services, and accurate variance reporting
• Support department and organizational goals through professional nursing practice and teamwork
