Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750–$1,840

Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Michigan
- Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical nursing experience, preferably in acute care or LTAC
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required before the first shift
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and patient-safety skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, nurses, physicians, rehabilitation professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
LTAC Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments within the required timeframe and use findings to develop individualized plans of care.
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and communicate pertinent information promptly to appropriate care team members.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, education, and progress in the medical record.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and contribute to ongoing care planning and reassessment.
- Support patient rehabilitation goals through a positive, encouraging, and clinically appropriate approach.
- Initiate discharge planning upon admission and educate patients and families to support safe transitions of care.
- Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision to licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and orienting staff.
- Promote a safe patient-care environment by following infection-control, safe-handling, emergency, and facility policies.
- Prioritize assignments effectively, manage time well, monitor patient needs, and help maintain an efficient unit workflow.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership regarding clinical resources, equipment, supplies, and professional development needs.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities following orientation and as assigned.
