Join a 13-week travel nursing contract as a Registered Nurse in Pre-Op and PACU in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Bring your nursing expertise to a rewarding on-site opportunity supporting patients in a preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting. As a Travel Registered Nurse, you will coordinate and deliver safe, efficient, patient-centered care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary clinical team. This Santa Fe nursing job offers a consistent weekday schedule, an approximately 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, and the opportunity to work in a respected perioperative environment.
Travel RN Job Details
- Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200–$2,310
- Assignment: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
- Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
- Shift: Approximately 6:30 AM–3:30 PM
- Weekend Requirement: None
- On-Call Requirement: 1–2 call nights per week from the end of the shift until 10:00 PM
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 2:1
- EMR: EPIC
- Additional Details: Floating may be required; pewter scrubs are required

Travel Registered Nurse Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience, preferably in Pre-Op, PACU, surgical, or perioperative nursing
- Current New Mexico RN license or a current compact-state RN license
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Knowledge and clinical skills appropriate to the patient population served
- Strong patient assessment, communication, documentation, and clinical judgment skills
- Ability to work on-site, participate in required call coverage, and float as needed
Pre-Op and PACU Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Obtain and document comprehensive initial assessments while establishing priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
- Systematically reassess patients to identify progress, trends, and needs requiring intervention
- Develop and implement individualized, measurable plans of care within established nursing standards
- Make sound nursing decisions based on clinical findings and patient outcomes
- Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to each patient’s needs
- Evaluate and modify plans of care based on patient response
- Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
- Perform designated point-of-care testing procedures
- Communicate respectfully and effectively with patients, families, physicians, and members of the healthcare team
- Deliver care consistent with organizational standards, safety practices, and professional nursing expectations
