- Holiday Requirement: Work two of the following major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day, plus one minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve
- Travel Requirement: Applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment location
Mother/Baby Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Georgia
- At least 2 years of recent Mother/Baby, postpartum, maternity, or newborn nursing experience
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a compassionate approach to family-centered care
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively during overnight nursing shifts
Mother/Baby RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum patients and newborns
- Perform maternal and newborn assessments, monitor clinical status, and promptly identify changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with provider orders and established nursing standards
- Support breastfeeding, newborn care education, discharge planning, and family adjustment
- Recognize and respond to complications involving postpartum recovery or the newborn
- Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and patient education accurately
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes
