Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,500–$1,580
- Nursing Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Healthcare Setting: Specialty Care Nursery; on-site
- Job Location: Cumming, Georgia
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 16, 2027
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights, approximately 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Holiday Expectations: Availability to work two major holidays—Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day—and one minor holiday, such as the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve
NICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or comparable specialty-care nursery
- Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Georgia
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and neonatal patient-care skills
- Ability to work scheduled night shifts and meet holiday coverage expectations
NICU Travel Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically complex newborns
- Monitor neonatal conditions, recognize changes in patient status, and promptly escalate concerns
- Administer medications and treatments safely according to established orders and clinical protocols
- Collaborate with neonatologists, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team
- Support families through education, communication, and compassionate bedside care
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans
- Maintain a safe, organized, and developmentally supportive environment for neonatal patients
