Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,790–$1,880
• Location: Spokane, Washington

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington or a compact nursing license in hand at submission
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical registered nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong electronic medical record and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to provide nursing care for patients with a range of medical-surgical and rehabilitation needs
• Competence with rapid response and code team procedures, peripheral line care and management, oxygen administration, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management
• Comfort working night shifts, rotating weekend coverage, and floating when needed
• Two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the last three years

Medical-Surgical Nursing Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical and rehabilitation patients
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, monitor patient status, and promptly communicate changes to the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications and treatments while following established patient safety and infection-prevention protocols
• Manage peripheral lines, oxygen therapy, nasal cannula, oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway support as clinically appropriate
• Recognize patient deterioration and appropriately activate rapid response or code team resources
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with providers, therapy teams, and other healthcare professionals to support individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education to promote recovery, safety, and continuity of care
• Float between assigned units or nearby affiliated locations as needed to support patient care operations
