Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460–$1,540
- Location: Longview, Texas

- Floating: May float to high-acuity and progressive care units, where ratios may be 1:4
- Unit Environment: Approximately 24 ICU beds plus 2 recovery beds
- Documentation: Medhost, with transition to Cerner planned
ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- At least 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate care in a high-acuity critical care environment
- Flexibility to float to designated high-acuity and progressive care units as needed
ICU Travel Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical needs
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes promptly, and initiate appropriate interventions
- Administer medications and therapies while maintaining strict patient safety and infection-control standards
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans
- Provide patient and family education, support, and clear communication throughout the care experience
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Float to designated units when needed while maintaining quality care and professional standards
