Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Lawrenceville, Georgia, near Atlanta
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770–$1,870
• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital operating room
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour days; schedule generally begins at 6:30 a.m., with days varying
• Contract: 13 weeks, from October 19, 2026 through January 16, 2027
• Call: Required
• Holiday Commitment: Work 2 of 3 major holidays—Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day—and 1 minor holiday
• Position Availability: 1 opening

Operating Room Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• Valid Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Georgia
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated expertise with neuro and orthopedic surgical cases
• Robotics experience preferred and may be required for select cases
• Experience with Cerner or a comparable electronic health record system
• Versatility and adaptability in a fast-paced surgical environment

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical process
• Support neuro, orthopedic, and robotic procedures according to professional standards and facility protocols
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, supplies, and patients for scheduled procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and the broader care team
• Maintain strict sterile technique and promote patient safety during all procedures
• Monitor patients, anticipate surgical needs, and respond effectively to changing clinical conditions
• Complete accurate documentation in Cerner and communicate essential patient information during handoffs
• Participate in scheduled call coverage and holiday rotations
