Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910-$2,010

• Guaranteed Hours Option: 48 hours per week

• Schedule Expectations: Three weekend shifts in a four-week schedule; day-shift weekends are Saturday and Sunday
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 to 5:1
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Attire: Grey scrubs for RNs

Telemetry Registered Nurse Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Missouri
• At least 1 year of relevant registered nursing or cardiac telemetry experience
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience caring for post-cath patients, excluding sheath removal
• Experience caring for patients following pacemaker placement and those experiencing stroke
• Experience managing amiodarone and Cardizem infusions
• NIH certification is preferred
• Ability to float to other telemetry, medical-surgical, and progressive care areas as needed
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-energy healthcare environment

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients throughout the travel assignment
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, neurological status, and changes in patient condition
• Care for patients recovering from cardiac catheterization procedures and pacemaker placements
• Manage patients with stroke-related conditions and administer ordered cardiac medications, including amiodarone and Cardizem infusions
• Collaborate with providers, charge nurses, patient care technicians, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Administer medications, complete nursing assessments, document care accurately, and promptly communicate clinical changes
• Support safe patient transitions and maintain a high standard of quality care across assigned units
