Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,750–$2,890

• Contract Duration: 18 weeks, through February 20, 2027
• Shift: Day shift, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

• Call: Required after 2:30 p.m., including weekends and holidays
• Weekend Coverage: Required based on staffing needs
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

CVOR Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; a pending license may be accepted at submission but must be active before the start date
• At least 1 year of recent CVOR or cardiovascular perioperative nursing experience
• Community hospital experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with electronic health records; Cerner experience preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, and hybrid operating room procedures
• Ability to provide safe, effective perioperative nursing care during scheduled procedures, call shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Successful completion of required facility onboarding, screening, and compliance requirements

CVOR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, and endovascular surgical procedures
• Support procedures such as CABG, valve replacement, thoracotomy, VATS, carotid endarterectomy, aortic aneurysm repair, TEVAR, and EVAR
• Prepare patients, surgical equipment, supplies, and procedure rooms according to established standards
• Monitor patients during procedures, including cardiac status and conscious sedation when applicable
• Assist with blood and blood-product administration, specimen handling, peripheral IV starts, urinary catheterization, and wound management
• Maintain strict infection-control, radiation-safety, laser-safety, and universal-protocol practices
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members to promote excellent surgical outcomes
• Provide timely documentation in Cerner and communicate patient care needs throughout the perioperative process
• Participate in required call coverage after regular shift hours and on weekends and holidays
