Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Lewisville, Texas, near the Dallas–Fort Worth area
• Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department; Level III Trauma Center
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible to practice in Texas
• At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience in an Emergency Department, Emergency Room, or comparable acute-care setting
• TNCC certification required
• ENPC certification preferred
• Experience with emergency airway management, resuscitation, and high-acuity patient care
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively in a fast-paced emergency nursing environment
• Strong commitment to patient safety, respectful communication, and patient-centered care

Emergency Department Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency patients with a wide range of conditions and acuity levels
• Perform patient assessments, support emergency department triage, provide ongoing monitoring, and deliver timely interventions
• Participate in airway and resuscitation management, procedural sedation, chest tube care, wound care, and splinting
• Support critically ill patients and emergency response activities in collaboration with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Initiate and maintain intravenous access, including ultrasound-guided IV techniques when appropriate
• Administer medications and treatments safely while documenting emergency nursing care accurately in Meditech
• Prioritize care effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining a calm, compassionate presence
• Promote teamwork, clear communication, and a positive experience for patients and families
