This 13-week Colorado travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to practice on-site in beautiful Glenwood Springs, a scenic mountain community known for outdoor recreation, natural hot springs, and easy access to the Rocky Mountains.
Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
- Healthcare Setting: Adult Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Observation
- Employment Type: Travel nurse contract
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000–$2,100
- Start Date: October 27, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 26, 2027
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Shift: Day shift with weekend rotation
- Call Requirement: Participation in the call rotation, including one call shift per two-week period when requested due to staffing needs. A call shift may take the place of guaranteed hours during that week.

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care, medical-surgical, telemetry, observation, or similar Registered Nurse experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Colorado
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current influenza vaccination required during the designated flu season; no exemptions
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, participate in weekend rotation, and fulfill call responsibilities
- Travel assignment eligibility requires a permanent residence at least 75 miles from the work location
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical, telemetry, and observation patients
- Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Monitor patients with acute and chronic illnesses, postoperative needs, orthopedic conditions, and cardiac-related care requirements
- Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate effectively with providers and the interdisciplinary care team
- Administer medications and treatments, perform ongoing assessments, and document care accurately
- Coordinate admissions, discharges, transfers, and patient education
- Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and continuity of care throughout the assignment
- Participate in scheduled weekend rotation and the required call rotation
