Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200–$2,320
• Assignment: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• End Date: January 4, 2027
• Healthcare Setting: Acute-care Med/Surg Telemetry
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, typically three 12-hour shifts
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts, days and nights
• Weekend and Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in South Dakota
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holidays
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and time-management skills
• Epic experience preferred

Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation process
• Monitor and care for patients with medical-surgical and telemetry needs
• Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with nursing standards and applicable regulations
• Provide patient and family education, care coordination, and discharge support
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in Epic
• Practice within the scope of the South Dakota Nurse Practice Act and applicable professional standards
