Join a collaborative Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Corvallis, Oregon. - Duration: 13 weeks, through December 31, 2026
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130–$2,250
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; every other weekend
- Work Setting: On-site
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse Requirements
- Current, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license required at submission
- At least 1 year of recent acute-care nursing or Progressive Care Unit experience
- Healthcare Provider-level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Basic EKG knowledge and PCU nursing experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical judgment skills
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to acutely ill patients with an elevated risk for clinical instability
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition
- Use advanced patient monitoring techniques to support safe, evidence-based acute care
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders, facility policies, and professional nursing standards
- Interpret basic cardiac rhythms and promptly communicate significant findings to the appropriate healthcare team members
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate individualized patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
