Experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) needed for a 13-week travel nursing contract in Edmonds, Washington. Travel RN Job Details
- Location: Edmonds, Washington
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,220-$2,340
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- End Date: January 18, 2027
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, approximately 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.; scheduled as 4x12-hour shifts
- Weekly Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
- Patient Population: Adults and infants
- Typical Patient Assignment: 1:1 to 1:3
- Scheduling Notes: Floating may be required as needed, including to nearby sister facilities. Holiday availability may include working 3 of 5 designated holidays.
Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience, including LDRP, postpartum, antepartum, OB triage, and newborn care
- Current Registered Nurse license in Washington or an active compact license in hand at submission
- Current AWHONN Intermediate certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Epic charting experience
- Demonstrated competency with fetal monitoring, IV starts, C-section circulation, blood product administration, magnesium sulfate, insulin therapy, epidural and PCA pumps, and high-risk obstetric care
- Ability to provide two professional references covering at least one year of relevant experience within the last three years
Travel Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, antepartum, and OB triage settings
- Support vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including circulating in the operating room and recovering post-cesarean patients
- Care for normal and high-risk pregnancies, including high-risk antepartum and high-risk Labor & Delivery patients
- Perform fetal monitoring, sterile vaginal examinations, obstetric triage, and use of intrauterine pressure catheters as indicated
- Initiate and maintain peripheral IV access and central lines while administering medications, blood, and blood products safely
- Manage epidural pumps, PCA pumps, insulin therapy, magnesium sulfate therapy, anticoagulation therapy, and antihypertensive medications according to orders and protocols
- Provide couplet care and support the transition of newborns and families following delivery
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, anesthesia, neonatal teams, and other interdisciplinary partners
- Float to nearby affiliated units or facilities when required and maintain flexibility across maternal-child health services
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
