Travel Nursing Job Details

- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- End Date: January 18, 2027
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,220–$2,340
- Schedule: Night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM; 4x12-hour schedule as listed
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Unit: Labor and Delivery with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
- Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, infants, and obstetrical patients
- Holiday Scheduling: Travelers must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays; limited holiday time-off requests may be considered
- Floating: May float to Postpartum and, based on skill set, a nearby affiliated unit
Labor and Delivery RN Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse experience
- Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Washington; compact license must be active and in hand when applicable
- Current BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
- ACLS certification preferred
- Recent Epic charting experience required
- Experience with labor and preterm labor, high-risk deliveries, obstetrical triage, antepartum care, and postpartum support
- Competency with blood and blood product administration, epidural and PCA pumps, insulin and magnesium sulfate infusions, wound care, central lines, and intrauterine pressure catheter use
- Two professional references covering at least one year of recent experience may be required during the compliance process
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the antepartum period
- Perform obstetrical triage, assessments, ongoing monitoring, pain management, and patient education
- Assist with routine and high-risk deliveries, including fetal heart monitoring and neonatal transition support
- Circulate for Cesarean sections and support preoperative and postoperative care
- Care for patients receiving epidural anesthesia, PCA therapy, insulin, heparin, and magnesium sulfate
- Administer blood and blood products and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Assist with GYN surgical cases, couplet care, low-risk antepartum care, and transition nursery activities
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Float to related units as needed while maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical care
