Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920–$2,020
• Location: Bel Air, Maryland
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 12-hour night shifts
• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Population: Adult patients
• Unit: 29-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Weekends: Every other weekend required
• Holidays: Required as scheduled
• Call: No prescheduled call required
• Floating: Required within the Registered Nurse’s scope of practice

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience in a medical-surgical telemetry or acute-care setting
• Active Maryland or compact Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Current NIHSS certification
• Current CPI certification, as required for compliance
• Demonstrated cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, and telemetry nursing experience
• Comfort caring for adult patients with conditions such as sepsis, UTI, acute kidney injury, pneumonia, cholecystitis, and CHF
• Epic electronic medical record charting experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply

Med-Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias and promptly recognize changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, blood products, insulin, heparin, and cardiac or vasoactive infusions according to protocol
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, ports, chest tubes, drains, feeding tubes, ostomies, urinary devices, and wound care needs
• Provide respiratory support, including oxygen therapy, high-flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rehabilitation, radiology, phlebotomy, social services, and rapid response teams
• Accurately document nursing care and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Participate in rapid response and emergency procedures when indicated
• Float to appropriate units within scope of practice and support weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
