Travel Nursing Job Details

- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910–$2,010
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks, with potential extension opportunities
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Must work at least one major holiday, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day
- Float Requirement: No floating required
Emergency Room RN Job Requirements
- Active Virginia or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license at the time of submission
- At least 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience in a similar-size department
- Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center or trauma setting
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Trauma certification through TNCC, ATCN, or ATLS preferred
- CPI certification must be completed before the start date
- Prior Cerner electronic medical record experience strongly preferred
- Strong emergency assessment, triage, prioritization, communication, and critical-thinking skills
Emergency Department RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute and emergent conditions
- Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients according to acuity
- Monitor patient status, identify changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely while following emergency nursing protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, ancillary departments, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Support trauma, stroke, cardiac, and other high-acuity emergency responses
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a dynamic, high-volume Emergency Department
