Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Kentucky
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN or Emergency Room RN experience
• Ability to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care in a high-acuity emergency department
• Current required certifications and completion of applicable onboarding requirements before the travel assignment start date
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, teamwork, organization, and prioritization skills

Emergency Room Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and urgent conditions
• Perform focused nursing assessments, monitor patient status, and promptly identify changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders, policies, and professional standards
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support timely patient evaluation and treatment
• Assist with emergency procedures and maintain accurate, timely patient documentation
• Educate patients and families while delivering compassionate care during stressful situations
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and efficient Emergency Department flow
