Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience, preferably in Women's Health, Labor and Delivery, or a Birth Center
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license or eligibility to practice in Illinois
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• AWHONN fetal monitoring certification or demonstrated competency
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in the required on-call rotation
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and commitment to compassionate patient- and family-centered care

Women's Health RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to women, newborns, and families in the Birth Center
• Perform patient assessments, monitor changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Support labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care according to patient needs and established protocols
• Monitor fetal and maternal status and communicate findings to the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications and treatments, maintain accurate documentation, and evaluate patient responses
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families throughout the care experience
• Respond effectively to urgent clinical situations, including neonatal and obstetric emergencies
• Collaborate with providers and nursing colleagues to promote high-quality outcomes and continuity of care
