Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600
- Location: Plymouth, Massachusetts
- Healthcare Setting: On-site hospital; Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool
- Start Date: January 11, 2027
- Contract Duration: 8 weeks, ending March 6, 2027
- Nursing Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week; 72 hours guaranteed biweekly, excluding on-call time
- Schedule Expectations: Weekend and holiday coverage may be required; flexibility to float to like units and overflow areas is expected
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
- At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Ability to successfully complete a telemetry/dysrhythmia competency assessment and medication test during onboarding
- Flu vaccination required during compliance
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and medication administration skills
- Charge nurse experience and documented professional development activities are preferred
Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in medical-surgical and telemetry settings
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, identify changes in patient condition, and communicate concerns promptly
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established clinical standards
- Perform focused and comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Float to comparable units and overflow areas based on staffing and patient-care needs
- Educate patients and families and promote safe transitions of care
- Document care accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies and professional standards
