• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry/MedSurg Float Pool
• Location: Brighton, Massachusetts 02135
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,620–$2,760
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Assignment Duration: Approximately 11 weeks, ending January 16, 2027
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts; night coverage may be required
• Schedule: Every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday coverage required; specific schedule requests may not be accommodated
• Openings: 2
• Clinical Areas: Medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiology, orthopedics, urology, neurology, gynecology, surgery, and cardiothoracic care

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
• At least 4 years of recent acute-care nursing experience
• Recent step-down or progressive-care experience preferred for night assignments
• At least 1 successful recent travel nursing contract
• Strong telemetry knowledge with the ability to independently interpret telemetry strips
• Ability to successfully complete an on-site telemetry assessment with a score of 84% or higher within two attempts
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) credentials
• Experience with Meditech and intravenous therapy
• Ability to adapt quickly to different units, patient populations, and clinical workflows
• Prior float-pool experience preferred; 5 or more years is strongly preferred
• Psychiatric nursing experience preferred
• Epic experience preferred

Telemetry and MedSurg RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to patients across telemetry, medical-surgical, cardiac, surgical, and specialty units
• Monitor patients, recognize changes in clinical condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Independently interpret telemetry strips and respond appropriately to rhythm changes
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies in accordance with established standards
• Manage care for a diverse adult patient population, including orthopedic, urologic, neurologic, gynecologic, cardiology, and cardiothoracic patients
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Float effectively between assigned units while maintaining quality, efficiency, and continuity of care
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans accurately in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
