Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360–$2,480
- Location: Springfield, Illinois
- Healthcare Setting: Cardiac stepdown and cardiac intensive care
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- End Date: January 17, 2027
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week; every other weekend
- Work Arrangement: On-site
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, in hand prior to assignment
- At least 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, CVICU, MICU, SICU, or another comparable high-acuity nursing setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and an every-other-weekend schedule
- Strong patient assessment, critical-thinking, cardiac nursing, and clinical care skills
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac stepdown and intensive care patients
- Monitor and manage patients recovering from cardiac open-heart surgeries
- Care for medical intensive care and surgical intensive care patients as assigned
- Assess patient status, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support individualized treatment plans
- Float to the medical intensive care unit when needed while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record
