Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN) – 13-Week Assignment in Kapaau, Hawaii

Join a close-knit emergency care team as a Travel ER RN serving the North Kohala community on Hawaii Island. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Kapaau, Hawaii
• Setting: Small Emergency Department / Critical Access Hospital
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370
• Start Date: November 12, 2026
• Assignment End Date: February 11, 2027
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Openings: 2
• Call: No call required

Emergency Department Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Hawaii
• At least 1 year of emergency department nursing experience
• Strong EPIC electronic medical record experience
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Experience working effectively in a small or critical access hospital environment is preferred
• Current nursing credentials and required facility documentation must be completed before the assignment begins

Emergency Room RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across a range of acuity levels
• Perform patient assessments, triage, monitoring, medication administration, and treatment interventions
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly to urgent and emergent needs
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in EPIC
• Support safe patient transfers, discharges, and continuity of care
• Maintain a calm, compassionate, and professional approach in a fast-paced emergency department setting
