ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with eligibility to practice in New York
• At least 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to care for high-acuity and critically ill patients
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in an on-site intensive care setting
• Successful completion of required license verification, competency validation, and travel assignment onboarding

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit
• Assess patient conditions, identify changes in status, and promptly escalate clinical concerns
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders, facility policies, and nursing standards
• Monitor patients closely and respond effectively to changes in clinical condition
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document assessments, nursing interventions, patient responses, and care plans accurately
• Support a safe, respectful, and patient-centered environment for critically ill patients and their families
