ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in New York
• At least 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current clinical knowledge of critical care nursing practices and patient safety standards
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a high-acuity intensive care environment
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills
• Completion of required facility and travel assignment onboarding documentation

ICU Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and established protocols
• Perform focused and comprehensive patient assessments while documenting care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Support patient and family education throughout the plan of care
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compassionate care environment during overnight shifts
