Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750–$1,840
- Location: Anderson, South Carolina

- Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week, approximately 6:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Float Requirement: Float to other medical-surgical and telemetry units as needed
- Orientation: 16 hours, with required pre-start learning modules

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse (RN) experience in a medical-surgical setting
- Current or pending South Carolina Registered Nurse license; pending licensure must be completed before the assignment begins
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Medical-surgical and orthopedic nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, and float to designated units as required
- Clinical proficiency with IV initiation and maintenance, telemetry monitoring, oxygen administration, isolation precautions, and blood product administration
- Experience with orthopedic trauma, total joint replacement, surgical drains, feeding tubes, colostomy and ileostomy care, patient-controlled analgesia (PCA), and peripheral line management
Medical-Surgical/Orthopedic RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with orthopedic and medical conditions, including joint injuries, gastrointestinal disorders, pneumonia, diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD, influenza, and COVID-related diagnoses
- Assess patients, develop and update individualized plans of care, administer medications, and evaluate treatment outcomes
- Monitor telemetry and overall patient status, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
- Perform and document IV therapy, wound care, surgical drain care, tube-feeding support, oxygen therapy, and other ordered treatments
- Support patients recovering from orthopedic procedures involving the hips, ankles, and knees
- Communicate effectively with providers, patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in Epic and follow all safety, infection-control, and professional nursing standards
- Float to designated medical-surgical and telemetry units while maintaining safe, high-quality patient care
