This 13-week opportunity is ideal for an experienced ER RN who is confident caring for trauma, cardiac, stroke, behavioral health, sepsis, and general medical patients in a Level III trauma environment. Located in Spokane’s vibrant 99204 area, this emergency nursing assignment offers access to riverfront parks, outdoor recreation, cultural attractions, and the scenic Inland Northwest.
Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980–$2,080
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- End Date: January 30, 2027
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Shift Times: May include 7:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., or 7:00 p.m. start times
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Holiday Expectations: As needed based on department scheduling
- Department: Emergency Department within a Level III trauma setting
Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience in a Level III or higher trauma setting; 3–5 years is strongly preferred
- Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Washington
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- PALS or ENPC certification
- NIHSS certification
- TNCC or ATCN certification
- MOAB or CPI certification, in accordance with department policy
- Recent EPIC experience is required
- Demonstrated proficiency with rapid sequence intubation, conscious sedation, lines, drains, tubes, and general emergency nursing care
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills
- First-time travel nurses with the required experience may be considered
Emergency Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients with medical, surgical, psychiatric, and traumatic conditions
- Assess and prioritize patients experiencing sepsis, cardiac concerns, stroke symptoms, chest pain, abdominal pain, trauma, and other acute conditions
- Monitor patients, recognize changes in condition, and initiate timely interventions
- Assist with rapid sequence intubation, conscious sedation, vascular access, and management of lines, drains, and tubes
- Administer medications and treatments safely while maintaining accurate documentation in EPIC
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, resource nurses, technicians, and other members of the care team
- Maintain safe patient ratios while delivering compassionate, efficient, and evidence-based care
- Support a positive team culture in a fast-paced emergency department where adaptability and calm decision-making are essential
