- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930–$2,030
- Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Acute Care

Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
- At least 1 year of professional nursing experience; 2 or more years of bedside clinical experience is preferred
- Previous experience caring for medically complex or long-term acute care patients is preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required before the first shift, as applicable
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary team members
Long-Term Acute Care RN Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments within the required timeframe and develop individualized plans of care
- Provide, coordinate, and evaluate direct patient care using the nursing process
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and communicate pertinent information promptly to the care team
- Support patient rehabilitation goals through education, encouragement, and clinically appropriate interventions
- Initiate discharge planning and provide patient and family education beginning at admission
- Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record
- Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision to nursing assistants, practical nurses, and orienting staff
- Promote safe patient handling, infection prevention, fall prevention, and a safe care environment
- Prioritize assignments, manage time effectively, and use supplies and equipment responsibly
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented unit environment
- Participate in interdisciplinary conferences and ongoing professional development
