Travel Nursing Job Details

• Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts per week
• Shift: 8-hour evening shifts, approximately 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
• Scheduling: Primarily weekdays; weekends and holidays may occur during the assignment
• Call: Travelers are not routinely assigned to the call rotation, though occasional coverage shifts may be needed

Operating Room Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or a current compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of operating room nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience, including at least one completed travel assignment
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Recent Epic documentation experience
• Ability to work confidently across multiple surgical specialties
• Professional references and complete work and education history for verification
• Willingness to work within the assignment’s travel eligibility requirements

OR RN Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in a busy operating room setting
• Support surgical procedures across General, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and Robotic specialties
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, supplies, and patients according to procedure-specific standards
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary surgical team
• Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols
• Accurately document patient care and perioperative activities in Epic
• Adapt to changing surgical schedules and provide occasional weekend, holiday, or coverage support as needed
