Travel Nursing Job Details
- Position: PACU Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Zanesville, Ohio
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Contract: 13 weeks, November 16, 2026–February 15, 2027
- Call: Very rare call requirement
PACU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Ohio
- Minimum 3 years of current or recent Telemetry and Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Strong telemetry interpretation and BCRA competency; telemetry skills will be evaluated during orientation
- Current Epic EMR proficiency; independent Epic use is required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
- Adaptability and clinical judgment to float across multiple acute-care units
Travel Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care primarily on an observation unit
- Assess, monitor, and document the condition and progress of patients with medical-surgical, cardiac, respiratory, and stroke-related needs
- Read and interpret telemetry and BCRA monitoring data, escalating changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments, coordinate care, and contribute to effective discharge planning
- Float to other medical-surgical units and, when appropriately skilled, support the Emergency Department
- Use Epic efficiently for clinical documentation, communication, and patient-care coordination
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary team to promote quality outcomes and a positive patient experience
