Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130–$2,250

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
• Schedule Notes: Up to three shifts may be canceled during the assignment; guaranteed hours may not apply to canceled shifts. Up to three requested days off may be submitted for the contract.

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Arizona
• At least 1 year of recent acute-care Registered Nurse experience
• Recent medical-surgical nursing and telemetry experience required
• Step-down nursing experience preferred but not required
• Flu vaccination required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Travel nurses must meet the applicable 100-mile residency requirement

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical, telemetry, observation, and step-down patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, laboratory results, and changes in patient condition
• Complete nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established standards and provider orders
• Manage patient assignments of approximately 1:6 in Med/Surg and Observation and 1:4 in Step-Down
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech electronic medical records
• Use Alaris infusion pumps and Omnicell medication-dispensing systems safely and effectively
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support quality outcomes and safe transitions of care
• Participate in optional call coverage when available and appropriate during low-census periods
