Travel Nursing Job Details

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Pennsylvania
• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Experience providing nursery and postpartum care
• Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain certification before the assignment begins
• Strong maternal-child nursing, assessment, communication, teamwork, and prioritization skills

Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognize changes in condition, and promptly communicate concerns to the care team.
• Support newborn assessment and care in the nursery setting.
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical protocols.
• Educate patients and families regarding recovery, newborn care, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and coordinate care with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals.
