Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Fort Worth, Texas
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460–$1,540
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- End Date: January 24, 2027
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 a.m.–7:15 p.m.
- Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Assigned as needed
- Healthcare Setting: 14-bed Maternal-Newborn unit
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Call: Voluntary on-call opportunities may be available
Mother/Baby RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Texas
- At least 2 recent years of Mother/Baby or maternal-newborn nursing experience
- Recent experience in labor, antepartum, postpartum recovery, and couplet care
- Ability to circulate C-sections
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Fetal monitoring certification
- Willingness to float to Mother/Baby or serve as a sitter or task RN on other units when needed
Mother/Baby Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn patients
- Care for mother-and-newborn couplets while supporting bonding, family education, and recovery
- Monitor patients throughout labor, delivery recovery, and the postpartum period
- Circulate C-sections and collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical and maternal-newborn care teams
- Recognize changes in maternal or newborn condition and respond according to unit protocols
- Administer medications, complete assessments, document care, and coordinate patient education
- Support safe discharge planning and provide families with newborn care and postpartum instructions
- Float or assist in other nursing roles, including sitter or task RN responsibilities, as assigned
