Medical-Surgical RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Montana
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience; medical-surgical experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills

Medical-Surgical Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, compassionate, and holistic nursing care to medical-surgical patients during night shifts
• Assess patient conditions, identify priority health needs, and develop and implement individualized plans of care
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses and changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and families to encourage active participation in care and support optimal health outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow applicable Montana nursing regulations and professional standards
• Provide care primarily to adult patients, with occasional pediatric assignments as needed
