Travel nursing opportunity for an experienced Mother/Baby RN or nurse-midwife in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, with $3,710–$3,910 weekly estimated pay. Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,710–$3,910
- Specialty: Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, RN Midwife, and OBGYN
- Location: Tahlequah, Oklahoma
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- Contract: Approximately 12 weeks, with potential for extension based on staffing needs
- Schedule: 12 Hour Days; in-house coverage for 24-hour shifts, typically about seven shifts per month; always off post-call
- Work Setting: On-site labor, delivery, postpartum, and women's clinic services
- Patient Volume: Approximately 5–6 births per day at present
Registered Nurse and Nurse-Midwife Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent labor and delivery, Mother/Baby, or nurse-midwifery experience
- Registered Nurse and certified nurse-midwife qualifications appropriate for Level 4 RN Midwife OBGYN practice
- Current Oklahoma RN and/or midwife license, as applicable to the role
- Current AMCB certification
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
- Required Oklahoma DEA and OBDNN credentials
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate care during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to recognize and escalate complicated or high-risk cases
Mother/Baby RN and Nurse-Midwife Responsibilities
- Triage and evaluate patients presenting for labor and obstetric care
- Admit patients and manage uncomplicated vaginal deliveries
- Provide care and discharge planning for non-cesarean-section patients
- Consult physicians regarding complicated patients, operative deliveries, and higher-risk clinical situations
- Provide emotional support, education, and guidance to patients and families before, during, and after labor
- Identify high-risk pregnancies and promote appropriate antenatal and reproductive health education
- Participate in women's clinic visits when needed, while maintaining a primary focus on labor and delivery services
- Document assessments, interventions, deliveries, and patient outcomes accurately and promptly
