Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Shifts: 4 shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 10-hour days
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Patient Population: Adult patients
- Daily Volume: Approximately 6 visits per day across 5 procedure rooms
- Orientation: Bi-weekly orientation schedule
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state, in hand
- At least 2 years of recent nursing experience in vascular surgery or outpatient surgery
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Recent experience using EPIC electronic medical records
- Proficiency with cardiac monitoring, code response, and conscious sedation monitoring
- Experience with infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, and universal protocol/time-out procedures
- Skill in starting peripheral IVs
- One supervisory reference from the previous year
- Ability to meet required orientation, compliance, and assignment attendance expectations
Outpatient Surgery RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult patients before, during, and after outpatient vascular procedures
- Monitor patients during conscious sedation and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Assist with cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and code procedures as needed
- Support vascular procedures, including fistulagrams; lower- and upper-extremity angiograms and interventions; carotid angiograms; endovenous laser ablations; radiofrequency ablations; and sclerotherapy
- Initiate and maintain peripheral IV access and provide nursing care according to established protocols
- Maintain infection prevention, radiation safety, laser safety, and procedural time-out standards
- Document patient assessments, nursing interventions, and outcomes accurately in EPIC
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary procedural team to promote efficient patient flow and positive patient outcomes
