This on-site Oregon travel nursing job offers the opportunity to support patients across labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn care, and related overflow services while working a variable 12-hour rotating schedule. Travel Nursing Job Details

- Schedule: Variable 12-hour rotating shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360–$2,480
Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 5 years preferred
- Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- BSN preferred
- National certification in lactation or perinatal nursing preferred
- Strong clinical ability to manage postpartum, gynecologic, surgical, and medical overflow patients
- Ability to care for newborns and support breastfeeding and infant nutrition
- Current knowledge of neonatal resuscitation consistent with NRP standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
Labor & Delivery Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period
- Assess and monitor mothers and newborns, recognizing changes in condition and responding promptly
- Manage and care for postpartum, gynecologic, surgical, and medical overflow patients
- Deliver comprehensive newborn care, including support with breastfeeding and infant nutrition
- Assist with and perform neonatal resuscitation interventions within the scope of NRP training
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate individualized patient care
- Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and patient education accurately and in a timely manner
- Promote a respectful, reassuring, and family-centered care experience
