Travel Nursing Job Details

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,400–$2,530
- Assignment Type: Travel ICU Registered Nurse contract

- End Date: January 21, 2027
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Rotating weekends and holidays
- Orientation: Mondays

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Connecticut
- At least 2 years of recent emergency department and/or intensive care unit nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification or demonstrated competency, as required
- Recent experience using EPIC electronic medical records
- Ability to float between ICU, intermediate care, and medical-surgical units based on patient-care needs
- Compliance with applicable influenza and COVID-19 vaccination requirements; approved medical or religious exemptions may be accepted
- Willingness to participate in mandatory overtime when needed to support safe unit coverage
Critical Care Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and medically complex patients during overnight shifts
- Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and implement timely nursing interventions
- Safely care for patients across intensive care, intermediate care, and medical-surgical settings
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Administer medications and treatments according to established clinical standards
- Monitor patients, document care accurately in EPIC, and communicate updates to providers and care teams
- Support safe patient transitions, clinical handoffs, and continuity of care
- Maintain professional nursing standards while adapting to varying patient ratios and unit workflows
- Participate in rotating weekend, holiday, and additional coverage assignments as needed
