Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Farmington, Connecticut
- Assignment Type: 13-week ICU travel nursing assignment
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- End Date: January 28, 2027
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,400–$2,530
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Required
- Orientation: Held every Monday
- Work Arrangement: On-site
ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent emergency department and/or ICU nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure and eligibility to practice in Connecticut
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale certification, as required for the assignment
- Recent experience using EPIC electronic health records
- Ability to adapt quickly and provide safe, high-quality patient care across ICU, intermediate care, and medical-surgical settings
- Availability to participate in rotating weekends, holidays, and additional hours as needed for unit coverage
Critical Care Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to acutely and critically ill patients
- Float between the ICU, intermediate care unit, and medical-surgical unit according to patient-care needs
- Assess patients, identify changes in condition, and promptly communicate clinical concerns
- Administer medications and treatments while following evidence-based standards and patient safety protocols
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate individualized plans of care
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EPIC
- Support safe patient transitions, patient education, and discharge planning when appropriate
- Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations and provide additional coverage when needed
