Travel Nursing Job Details

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

• Regular Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• On-Call Requirement: Approximately one overnight call shift per week and one weekend every five weeks

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Arizona
• At least 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• Recent experience serving as a circulating nurse in the Operating Room is required
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• American Heart Association ACLS certification
• American Heart Association PALS certification
• Ability to participate in scheduled overnight and weekend call
• Ability to float to other qualified departments or provide task-oriented clinical support when needed

Operating Room Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care for patients throughout the perioperative experience.
• Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures, coordinating the operating room team and maintaining a safe sterile environment.
• Complete patient assessments, positioning, surgical documentation, counts, specimen handling, and safety checks in accordance with established standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative care team.
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changing clinical needs before, during, and after procedures.
• Provide on-call coverage, including overnight and periodic weekend assignments.
• Float to other departments within the nurse's demonstrated competency, including patient-care or task-oriented assignments.
